Location: Clackamas County.
This eight hour certification course provides new and experienced educators with an understanding of the OHCS expectations related to starting an Energy Education program and knowledge of basic practices. In addition, participants will obtain a basic understanding of physics, thermal flow, and energy; and how to apply them in a residential environment. Students will take a written exam in class and must pass with a 75% or better. Upon completion of the training, educators and other participants will be able to: 1) Demonstrate an understanding of basic Energy Education concepts; 2) Understand Oregon Housing and Community Service expectations for the E2C2 Energy Education program; 3) Gain insight from current educators’ experiences related to curriculum development; 4) Understand how OPUS will be used within the Energy Education program; 5) Apply theory and practices to help establish local programs.
