Location:TBA Description:This course will focus on demonstration and hands-on application with one full day in the classroom and three days of installations on actual job sites; including site-built and manufactured homes. Weatherization training includes lecture material on building science, home energy principles and construction technology, as well as lab exercises on high density wall insulation and insulation blower maintenance and operation. In this class you learn to install attic, wall and floor insulation, window and door replacement, basic blower door operations, and duct sealing on both site-built and manufactured (mobile) homes. This class will spend one full day in the field on mobile home weatherization including insulated roof cap (EPDM) installation and belly retrofit. Students will be given a written exam and must pass with a score of 75 percent or better. Students will also need to pass 100 percent of basic field installation requirements while demonstrating competency in all areas under the supervision of a field exam proctor. Required Items To Bring:Dress to work in the field - overalls, flash light, eye protection, boots, etc. Registration Fee:$00.00 for OHCS Sub-grantees. $ 2800.00 Non Sub-grantee, if space available. Lunch will be provided. Per Diem:Agencies are responsible for their own per diem costs (lodging, meals, travel, etc.) Lodging Information:TBA Please Note:Oregon Housing and Community Services will now be giving final approval of attendees on the all training rosters. Shorty after the closing date of registration you will receive a Final Confirmation Notice concerning the status of your attendance at the training. Thank you for your patience during this new registration process. Attendance Policy:All portions of training MUST be attended and late arrivals are not allowed, nor accommodated. Missed portions of trainings are subject to make-up time at participant's expense. Petitions to this policy must be submitted in writing and are considered on a case-by-case basis. OECA reserves the right to ensure a safe and positive training environment and therefor may exclude or dismiss anyone who choose not to follow staff directives. Cancellation Policy:*Rights Reserved. * The Oregon Energy Coordinators Association reserves the right to make changes to programs, agendas, and logistics of any event, conference, training or workshop. We also reserve the right to cancel any event, conference, training or workshop. Registrants will receive a full refund upon such cancellations. *Refunds.* Full refunds, minus fees, will be granted for cancellations made 21 calendar days prior to the event, conference, training or workshop. Cancellations received after this deadline will not be refunded. *Fees.* All cancellations are subject to a $100.00 administrative fee or 25% cancellation fee, which ever is smaller. *Liability.* Liability is limited to refunds of registration fees only. *Transferability. * Registrations may be transferable from one participant to another within an organization.
