HEP Quality Control Inspector
Designed to prepare qualified students to challenge the HEP Quality Control Inspector certification exam, this 3-day course will entail a review of exam-specific information, the types of questions commonly included in the exam and provide participants with the opportunity to take a mock exam.

Course Description
Students will review and practice the skills needed to become a successful QCI and take a written exam of their QCI skills. Upon successful completion of the exam, each student will receive a certificate of completion. Student learning will be assessed using quizzes, instructor observation, and a 30-question exam. This assessment is to benefit both the instructors and students by identifying areas requiring additional improvement.

Students should be competent in basic mathematics, construction terminology, and possess basic computer operation skills prior to attending this training.

Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements: Sit or stand for long periods of time.

Ability to access attics and crawlspaces.

During class time we will be in a warehouse where temperatures can fluctuate according to the weather. Dress in layers.

During lab time, we recommend wearing closed-toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty, stained and cover all skin (long-sleeved shirt and long pants).

Workbooks will be provided digitally to the students before class via the "Current Students" page on OTI’s website. You will need to download the workbook and other reference materials before class starts, and you're welcome to print the workbook and reference materials or access them digitally during class. Some exercises may require internet access to complete fully.
