Designed for those entering the weatherization field and visiting homes, this online course will cover common client misconceptions, health and safety issues and WAP requirements. Participants will also learn how to operate systems to maximize energy savings.

• Examples of how client checklists can help guide energy education

• Common misunderstandings and/or myths

• Examples of when the cure may be worse than the original problem

• Examples of forms used by agencies within Oregon

• Lists of materials that agencies provide

• How to calculate baseload usage in Oregon

• What level of energy usage constitutes “low", "middle", and "high" users

• Elements on running a successful energy education Program.

• Discussion about how different agencies may show success in different ways.

• Required post-weatherization energy education.

One of the primary goals of the course is to show how to utilize pressure differentials to improve the speed and effectiveness of participants' work.
