Of course like everything in life, we get what we put into it. They provide you with all the tools to make you successful in life but it's up to us to take full advantage of the great program they have."

"I found the OTI training program to be a very positive experience. The instructors were thorough and responsive and the workforce development team was very supportive and dedicated to ensuring my success.
Completing the program has provided me with valuable skills and opportunities, I highly recommend it!"

Kaelen Mingal, Cohort 1 2026

“Participating in the Community Action Partnership of Oregon (CAPO) and the Oregon Training Institute (OTI) career program has been a truly transformative experience.
Going through all three phases—from hands-on weatherization work across the Portland Metropolitan Area, the lab training, certifications, to the in-depth energy auditor training—gave me a comprehensive understanding of this vital field. I was especially grateful for the supportive team and the paid structure of the program, which made this enriching experience possible. Seeing the direct impact of our work on families and communities was deeply rewarding.
Coming from a country where such opportunities are rarely paid, I was particularly surprised and thankful for the program’s commitment to supporting its trainees. I’m leaving with new skills, a deeper passion for energy efficiency, and immense respect for the work CAPO/OTI does for Oregon’s communities. God Bless CAPO/OTI”
