Weatherization Installer

Prerequisites: None

5-Year Renewal Cycle

Certified by OTI - Must score 70%  or better on required training exams.

Required Courses:

1. REA Retrofit Installer Stick Built

2. REA Retrofit Installer Manuf. Home

Energy Auditor

There are 2 pathways to becoming

a certified Energy Auditor:

2. BPI Pathway

Prerequisites: None

5-Year Renewal Cycle

Certified by OTI and Oregon Health 

Experience: 2,000 hours general maintenance, framing, roofing, drywall, siding or weatherization.

Exams: Must score 70%  or better on REA exams for OTI certification

Required Courses:

1. REA Retrofit Installer Stick Built

2. REA Retrofit Installer Manuf. Home

Required Certifications:

Lead-Based Renovator Training Cert.

Inspector for

Single/Multi Family 2-4 Units

Prerequisites:

  • Meet all requirements for the role of Energy Auditor/Energy Modeler

  • 10 Completed Energy Models

  • 1,000 hours of experience as an Auditor, Inspector or Installer

  • Proof of 80 hours of training and related certificates (1,000 hours of building trades experience = 40 hrs of training)

3-Year Renewal Cycle

Certified by BPI - Must score 70%  or better on:

  • HEP Energy Auditor written and field exam

  • Home HEP QCI written exam

Required Courses:

1. HEP Energy Auditor

2. HEP QCI

Inspector for Single/Multi-Family and Manuf. Homes 2-4 & 5-25 Units

Energy Auditor/Modeler

Prerequisites: None

5-Year Renewal Cycle

Certified by OTI and Oregon Health Authority  Exams: Must score 70%  or better on REA exams for OTI certification

Required Courses:

1. REA Retrofit Installer Stick Built

2. REA Retrofit Installer Manuf. Home

Prerequisites:
