HEP Energy Auditor field exam preparatory course is   based on a National Renewable Energy Laboratory/U.S. Department of Energy Job   Task Analysis (JTA) of the same name. The course is a four hour review of the   job description/duties outlined in the JTA in preparation for the field exam.
Students will practice the   skills needed to become a successful Energy Auditor. These skills include:   conducting a precise energy audit of the building, collecting the required   data to create a comprehensive report on the energy consumption of the building   and creating a detailed work order outlining the benefits and pay back of   recommended energy conservation measures, understanding specifications and   standards, performing building and safety diagnostics, recording/reporting   findings and concerns and communicating effectively with the client.
This course is designed to prepare qualified   students to take the Home Energy Professional Energy Auditor certification   field exam. State-of-the-art technology is used in the field to provide   students with a high-quality learning environment.
