This training is a required training for all new WAP employees. It is also a great introduction to Healthy Homes Evaluator. Topics that will be covered in this 6-hour training include: Asbestos, Mold and Moisture, Occupant Health, Pests, Radon, Ventilation and other topics.

About the event
This course is designed for people entering the Weatherization Field and people doing home visits. It is a perfect precursor to a Healthy Homes course. Students will learn about many health and safety issues that may be encountered in a home and how to increase safety for themselves and their clients. This training introduces people to:
· Lead Based Paint
· Asbestos Containing Materials
· Combustion Appliances problems
· Pest Infestation
· Mold and other fungal growth
· Moisture problems
· Path Homes
· Occupant Safety
· Staff Safety
· Mandatory documents for the client and homeowner including: Renovate Right, EPA’s guide to Mold and Moisture, and A Citizen’s Guide to Radon and documentation around these mandatory documents.
· Deferral Notices.
· Many more.
