About the event
The Weatherization Installer – Mobile Home (Shell Tech Mobile Home) course, when taken in conjunction with the Weatherization Installer – Stick Built (Shell Tech Stick Built Home) course, is in alignment with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory/U.S. Department of Energy designated Job Task Analysis (JTA) of Crew Leader and Retrofit Installer Technician. This course focuses on demonstration and hands-on application with twelve hours in the classroom and eight hours of hands-on lab with the installation of stick-built and mobile home measures. Students get their hands dirty installing attic, wall, and floor insulation, replacing windows and doors, installing weather stripping, sealing and insulating ducts. Students will also demonstrate competency doing blower door, duct blaster and CAZ testing. The eight hours of lab time is used for both Stick Built and Mobile Home Installer courses.
