Introduction to REM training is a 8-hr required training for new Weatherization Assistance Program professionals in Oregon
OR Annual REM Training is a REM update offered annually for Weatherization Assistance Program professionals in OR.
Oregon Weatherization Assistance Program Health and Safety Training is a 6 hour training required for all Weatherization Assistance Program professionals in Oregon.
This 4-day, in-person class introduces the participant to the Healthy Home principles. They will learn how the home environment can contribute to accidents and poor health outcomes for the inhabitants. The goal is to improve overall occupant health and safety.
2024 Training Registration
- Oct 28, 2024, 8:30 AM – Oct 31, 2024, 5:00 PM• This 4-day, in-person class introduces the participant to the Healthy Home principles. You will learn how the home environment can contribute to accidents and poor health outcomes for the inhabitants. The goal is to improve overall occupant health and safety.
- Nov 18, 2024, 8:30 AM – Nov 21, 2024, 5:00 PM• This 4-day, in-person class introduces the participant to the Healthy Home principles. You will learn how the home environment can contribute to accidents and poor health outcomes for the inhabitants. The goal is to improve overall occupant health and safety.
- Jul 17, 2024, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PMThis training is a required training for all new WAP employees. It is also a great introduction to Healthy Homes Evaluator. Topics that will be covered in this 6-hour training include: Asbestos, Mold and Moisture, Occupant Health, Pests, Radon, Ventilation and other topics.
- Jun 27, 2024, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMThis one-day, online class introduces the participant to the use of the Residential Energy Analysis and Rating Software REM/Design™. The trainee will learn how to enter and calculate cooling, heating, hot water, lighting and appliance energy loads, and consumption and costs for single-family homes.
